What is a Service Pack?
Service packs are software downloads which provide
solutions for any issues found in released software. Service
packs may also include new features, feature enhancements, and
additional components. Service packs are provided online
upon release, at no cost, to all clients.
How do I know which Service Pack I
need?
WISE Service Pack files cannot be installed unless the full installation for
the appropriate version of WISE is already installed. For example, if you have
WISE 2.0.7, you cannot install Service Pack 1 for WISE 2.0.6. Service packs
are also cumulative so there’s no need to install earlier releases of a
service pack if you haven’t already done so. Confirm which version
of WISE you are using and download the latest service pack for that version (the
one with the largest number).
How
do I find the current version number of WISE software I am
using?
To find your current version of WISE software, please follow the steps
below:
- Log in to WISE.
- Go to Help in the toolbar and click on About
WISE.
Do I need a new WISE Registration file?
No. New registration files are only required for
full installations of WISE. The upgrade of an existing
WISE installation with a Service Pack uses the existing registration
file. Once you have completed the Service Pack installation,
simply use WISE as usual. For information on registering
your copy of WISE please see Getting
Started with WISE.
What are template files?
Template files provide the correct fields and attributes
for specific functionality in WISE. By downloading and renaming
these files, you can save time in creating and formatting files.
Other Notes:
If you have an active WISE registration,
you will be notified of Service Packs by email. You may request
the Service Pack by mail, if you cannot download the Service Pack
for any reason.
