With nearly twenty years experience and national recognition in the water resources field, our Watershed Concepts staff can act as your expert witness for hydrologic and stream hydraulic issues. Watershed Concepts has experience with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and local and state units of government throughout the southeastern United States.

Surveying

Watershed Concepts performs land surveys for Flood Insurance Study support, Geographic Information System mapping support, and ground control for quality control efforts. Geographic Positioning System (GPS) technology is combined with custom computer codes for efficient data transfer into HEC-RAS and GIS applications. Large hydrologic and base map surveys for planimetrics or contours are arranged with aerial contractors. Smaller topographic coverages are performed in-house using Trimble GPS receivers and associated software. Watershed Concepts uses reliable private and public resources, such as satellite imaging vendors, for land cover and digital terrain modeling.

Training

Watershed Concepts has the expertise to offer our clients customized training in both custom and packaged software programs. As part of our commitment to providing high quality solutions to our clients, we can arrange on-site training or training at our offices. We offer training in hydrologic and hydraulic models, GIS applications, and in our own custom software (WISE^®).
