Stormwater Management
Plans
As part of a comprehensive stormwater
management plan, Watershed Concepts identifies problems,
recommends solutions (including cost estimates), establishes
prioritization criteria, and proposes alternatives for
consideration.
Watershed Concepts developed a stormwater
management plan for the largest metropolitan area in
North Carolina, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County area,
and has developed over forty other plans.
Drainage Infrastructure Improvements
Watershed Concepts has the resources
to prepare plans and specifications for specific water
resources projects as well as provide construction management
services.
Ordinance Development and
Utility Creation
Watershed Concepts assists local governments
in setting objectives and conducting needs assessments
to define the level of utility services desired. Based
on these findings, Watershed Concepts recommends funding
alternatives, such as developing impact fees, charging
utility fees based on defined criteria or developing
a tiered system based on tax assessments. We can also
provide customized engineering design manuals.
Watershed Concepts assisted the cities
of Florence,
South Carolina, and Ashland,
Virginia in establishing stormwater utilities. |
