The Research and Development department of Watershed Concepts
consists of dedicated and experienced developers of object-oriented
engineering applications. One of the software products developed
at Watershed Concepts is the Watershed
Information System (WISE)®.
In addition to WISE®,
Watershed Concepts has developed several programs to improve
the interface between data and standard water resource modeling
programs. In response to requests from our clients, subcontractors
and staff, we frequently develop small utility applications to
improve the ease, speed and accuracy of performing manual operations.

Database Design and Implementation
Watershed Concepts has worked collaboratively to design large
databases that store all data required for floodplain analysis
and mapping and can be accessed through the Internet. Watershed
Concepts can also help with making legacy databases accessible
to our customized software. We built Mecklenburg County’s
water quality database into our custom software to allow easy
access to years of countywide data collection.

data management systems for municipalities and county governments.
Our GIS staff has worked with ArcInfo, ArcView, and MapInfo
